Alejandro started directing commercials back in 1983. He worked in every department of film production to gain experience of all the various skills required in production before he became a director of music videos, commercials, documentaries and feature films. Since 1998 he has concentrated his strengths primarily on creating commercials for the international market and this experience has allowed him to enjoy a wonderful cross over of cultures which has enriched Alejandro both as a director as well as a human being. Alejandro’s range of work demonstrates his interest in all genres and he believes that a good professional needs to have the ability to be enthusiastic about everything and always looking for new ideas and keeping abreast of the latest trends. Alejandro likes diversifying not only in the world of advertising, but also in the world of technology, architecture, art (video and installation) and above all of course, the world of cinema. Alejandro is very thorough in the preparation and presentation of his director’s treatments. He believes it essential that films are discussed in meetings where the client and agency have a crystal clear detailed vision of their film in order that the shoot becomes more of an event to enjoy and explore creatively. What most interests Alejandro about his work is the possibility to create real emotions, human stories with real characters and be able to achieve narrative simplicity for any idea. We think that his latest work clearly reflects this.
