Alejandro Toledo is one of Europe’s most experienced Action Unit Directors who established himself over the past 30 years as a leading international filmmaker and commercial director specialising in powerful performances and storytelling. Alejandro's attention is focused on feature films and television series. In 2019,he co-directed (with Peter Webber) "Kingdom of Fire" including four months filming action sequences - an ambitious and highly successful series produced by Genomedia Dubai for MBC and Netflix. Prior to that, he directed the Action Unit for the movie "Loving Pablo" in Colombia, produced by Millennium Films; starring Javier Bardem, Penelope Cruz and Peter Sarsgaard. MBC has recently renewed their partnership by commissioning Alejandro to take charge and direct all the 2nd Unit scenes on the new TV series about, Muawiyah Abu Sufyan, the legendary 7th century Caliph. This includes all the battle scenes culminating in the final confrontation involving four hundred ships. He is comfortable directing in English, Spanish and French, and is a member of several professional organizations, including The Directors Guild of America (DGA). His work has received a long list of international awards for film, broadcast commercials and music videos, including: a 2019 "Best of Europe" special Effie Award.
