Denis Rovira has been working as a director in the world of TV commercials since 2003. He became so well known as a director in Spain that in 2010 the international advertising market came knocking at his door. He has been directing in the international market for major brands and clients like: Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Philips, Vodafone, F.C. Barcelona, Hoteles.com, OTE, Nestlé, Ferrero, La Caixa, Banc Sabadell, Pfizer etc. He has worked several times with agencies such as McCann Erickson, DDB, JWT, Leo Burnett, Euro RSCG, Young & Rubicam or Wunderman to name a few. Denis has shot in many countries around the globe. ie. USA, China, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Spain, Russia, Mexico, Ukraine, Portugal, Hungary and UAE and looks forward to shooting in many more countries. His commercials have won two Effie Awards and have been competing in the Lion Cannes Advertising Festival. Denis Rovira Van Boekholt is also considered as one of the new generation of Spanish Fantastic Film genre directors. After shooting three multi-awarded short-films “Angel”, “Lazarus Taxon” and “The Faucet”, in July 21st 2019 there was the release of his first feature as a director and co-writer on the Supernatural thriller/Horror “La Influencia” (aka “The Influence”) with a renowned Spanish cast as Emma Suárez, Maggie Civantos, Alain Hernández or Manuela Vellés. “La Influencia” was distributed by Sony Pictures and positioned top 5 and top 10 for almost a month in Spanish box office ranking. It will also be available for audience worldwide on Netflix from October 21st 2019. Denis has recently completed shooting a new thriller/suspense TV series for Amazon Prime, “The Boarding School Las Cumbres” produced by Mediapro Studio and Atresmedia Studio. With this creative input from working in a longer format we welcome Denis return and committment to the international TVC market in 2022.
