Mario is a director / filmmaker out of Rosenheim in the very south of Germany but currently based in Hamburg. Actually, he is from Marquartstein but nobody knows where this is. Mario is one of the rising directing stars of Germany and is completely self taught. He started by filming sports events and came to prominence with his filmic portrait of the mountain bike professional Andi Wittmann. This film kick started his career and brought him to the attention of major sports brands such as Gortex, Adidas and Red Bull that loved his freshness of eye which resulted in a series of dynamic films that launched Mario into the world of international advertising. Mario’s love of film making remains at the heart of his work so he continually diversifies his advertising work with a series of personal projects that embrace music videos and documentaries on the culinary world featuring high profile British chefs.
