In 2019 Keith’s feature film, ‘The More You Ignore Me’, won BEST COMEDY at the UK National Film Awards in London. This drama comedy about a family dealing with a mother who has mental health problems is, in parts, a tough subject to watch. But the fact that it won the award and has garnered a huge following is, in part, due to something that Keith has being achieving in commercials for over 20 years. As a director Keith can take almost any subject and inject it with infectious amounts of warmth, humour and humanity. One day it’s the blockbusting, global, Heineken spot for the new James Bond movie, the next it’s a small independent commercial campaign like the award winning ‘Bicky Burger’ for Belgium. Keith revels in variety and challenge. Hence, over the years, he has amassed an impressive catalogue of successes with Agencies and Clients alike and is constantly being re-commissioned; 20 spots for Russia’s Sberbank, 25 for Holland’s Belasingdeinst; 5 for Stella Artois… He is equally skilled at working with actors on performance-based commercials; quirky humour; special effects and cinematic subjects. He is also a skilled writer and his treatments and scripts are known for their ‘fresh’ approach and excellent use of storytelling to convey a message. Keith bought his first film camera from his uncle when he was nine. His wealth of experiences makes him a very approachable and hands-on director, often invited to step in and develop ideas alongside Agency Creatives. Suffice to say, in this way he as won, and helped to win, numerous international awards and accolades. Awards include: • National Film Awards (Best Comedy 2019): ‘The More You Ignore Me’ Feature Length. • London International Advertising Awards: ‘The Great Frog’, first 18-rated spot in UK cimemas • Creative Club of Belgium Advertising – ‘Bicky Burger’ • Promax UK Awards – BBC ‘Eastenders – Everyone’s Talking About It’ ad campaign • AME International – ‘Station 12′ Altus • San Sebastian International Publicitario Festival – ‘Megane’ Renault • BAFTA (Drama nomination) – Disney Children’s drama series ‘Buslife’ • Los Angeles International Film and Video Festival – Best Cinematography ‘Top Dog’ short
